Since 2006, I've had the incredible blessing of calling Singapore my home. The vibrant little island has captured my heart and become an integral part of who I am. Originally from Stockholm in Sweden where we have a summer house we visit for a few weeks every summer.
My journey to becoming a family photographer
One day my dear hubby walked through the door with a shiny DSLR camera in his hands. I glanced at it, feeling a mixture of excitement and curiosity, and couldn't help but ask, "Now what?" Little did I know that this seemingly simple moment would set the stage for a life-changing journey.
I decided to organize a photography course with a group of friends. As I delved into the intricacies of composition, lighting, and capturing those precious moments, something magical happened. I fell head over heels in love with the art of photography, and it became so much more than just a hobby.
My camera became my devoted companion from that day forward, an extension of my own eyes and emotions. It has captured the defining moments, family laughter, maternity bliss and true interactions that weave the rich fabric of our lives. The more I explored the world through my lens, the more I realised how much joy and luxury it is to save memories for others.
Rewards & challenges being a photographer in singapore
Being a photographer in tropical Singapore has its own set of benefits and drawbacks. The rich colours and natural beauty provide an abundance of photographic options for my families. However, the heat and rain can be hard at times. Rain showers, a frequent occurrence in Singapore's tropical climate, can disrupt outdoor shoots. But fret not, as there are ways to navigate around it. Keeping an eye on weather forecasts and having a backup plan or alternative indoor locations in mind can help ensure a smooth experience. When it comes to the heat, we photograph early in the morning or late afternoon when it’s not as hot and sun is hiding behind the trees :).

How do I edit your family photos?
I want my clients to look at their family portraits and see the best version of themselves, radiating with joy and love. At the same time, I want them to feel that their images are a true reflection of who they are, embracing their natural beauty and the beautiful imperfections that make them human.
During the editing process, I pay meticulous attention to details, carefully adjusting lighting, removing people in the background, fixing color tones stray hair, and composition to enhance the overall impact of the image.
