Breakfast at Pallazo Parisio
Palazzo Parisio breakfast
For three months I have been passing by Palazzo Parisio, driving my son to school. Without even thinking what could be inside those walls. Some days ago, I asked for the best breakfast place here in Malta, and Palazzo Parisio came up and off we went.
Oh. My. God.
Inside it's like the secret garden, lush, vibrant and so classy. I instantly fell in love. Coming from Singapore with a huge selection of cafes and gorgeous breakfast places I admit, I'm spoilt:). I did order Eggs Benedict with salmon on a muffin and it was so yummy! And it's not often only me and hubby do something without the kids, but none of them wanted to join and frankly, it was perfectly alright. We enjoyed the silence and the atmosphere for way longer than we could have with our youngest one with us (even though they have a kids corner, badly placed in the sun but anyway....). And it will not take 3 months to go back, that's for sure. (Actually hubby snuk off when I had a meeting and went for lunch there, and apparently same high quality so he needs to show me sometime:).
I hope you have a wonderful day, and please share if you have a favourite location with gorgeous atmosphere here in Malta!
Some fun facts, It was built in the 1740s It was Napoleon's residence for six days in June 1798, during the early days of the French occupation of Malta. It was used as the General Post Office from 1886 to 1973, oddly enough some of the most gorgeous buildings around the world used to be a post office, isn't that odd?
