Anyway, thanks for stopping by even though not much has been going on here. The new blog will be up in a few weeks time, so excited to launch it and see what you all think:) Even though the sign says “Under construction” I have been busy and time has truly passed by so quickly this spring, can not believe  its mid May already!

I have been wanting to do a Native American shoot for a while and when I found the head peach for the 2 boys in Bali, nothing was stopping me:). Not even 17 mosquito bites, an army full of ants, 35 degrees Celsius and a little boy who refused to step on the grass:)

I hope you like them as much as I do.

Oh I just adored this session, the light was beautiful and the breeze was warm and cozy! And we had watermelons! What more can we ask for:).

I so much enjoy adding some props to a session as I do believe it adds to a more interesting photograph. And it doesn’t mean we need a rental van to ship all the stuff to the session location it can be so easy as eating a watermelon!

I have so many sessions I want to share with you, the season has really kicked off with a bang and I am making a little *happy dance* over here. You guys are amazing and I feel so blessed collaborating and working with you! You DO rock!

This photo shoot was such a fun and special day for me, it’s always such a treat photographing a family with young children – watching their personalities shine through and creating treasured memories of that snapshot in time. The time passes so quickly and when you have young children you can see the time flying by so fast that you can blink, look back and think where has it gone. Only yesterday………

A great quote I was once told by a friend with older children was ‘that days are long, but the years are short’ – this so resonated with me at the time (having 3 children from age 17 to age 3). Now with 2 in school, I can feel how quickly those years are passing

Ahh…every day life can be so sweet….if we let it.

My number one goal in each senior session is to make my subject feel confident, look confident and having an experience that they will remember. I want them to leave the session with a bit more bounce in their step and a big, confident smile.
We have such an amazing opportunity as photographers to give these teenagers at least a couple of hours that they feel on cloud nine about how they look and feel. To create that unique experience I am working in collaboration with makeup artist and stylist Julia Blank from Dialforstyle!

I meet with all of my clients before their session, anywhere from a month to a week before their scheduled time. This is a great time to chat with the senior and their parent to get to know them as well as give them tips that will help with their confidence level. These meetings help the senior feel more comfortable with me so they aren’t nervous meeting me for the first time at their session. We talk about the outfits they are thinking about and some seniors will even bring a pile of clothes for us to pick out.

And then the fun begins, planning and having the shoot with the Senior! A bit of information on how we are creating this experience for the Seniors, hope you enjoyed it!

Back to work after celebrating Chinese New Year with a week off from school and kindergarden for the kiddos. Looking out the window and the sight is kinda depressing since it is back to rain rain rain here in Singapore, what ever happend to the sunny weather and blue skies?

Oh well, spring fever will come eventually but I felt I had to show you some uplifting and loving photos of this adorable family, it fills my heart with laughter and sunshine, just what I need a day like this!

Happy Valentines day everyone!
A day like this I think of how lucky I am to have this gorgeous family that I have, I am truly blessed in so many ways of life. Having the support that I have is so important, I can imagine that following me on finding a new photo location, waiting to eat the food since I am photographing it (yes true story) and seeing me leave every Saturday morning for a photo shoot…just might not be as fun as I think it is:).

I do hope you are having a Valentines Day filled with love, hugs and maybe a little gift or a little drawing from your loved ones!
